Katy Perry is heartbroken… Tekashi 6ix9ine spending like crazy… Duke & Duchess of Sussex announcement… Lady Gaga reminds us to “smile”… and Liam Payne says Louis Tomlinson ‘told me off’
Katy Perry made the sad announcement on her Instagram yesterday. Kitty Purry has passed away. She posted some pictures of her fur baby and captioned them, “Kitty Purry crawled through my then-boyfriend’s window 15 years ago, fully pregnant and seeking shelter. Two litters and many moons later, this street cat became a lovable mascot to many. Sadly, Kitty completed her 9th life last night. I hope she rests in salmon fillets and tuna tartare way up in catnip heaven. Kitty, thanks for the cuddles and companionship along the way….#kittypurryforever.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine is under house arrest for another 3 months — and aren’t we ALL??? But that’s not stopping him from spending all that money he got in that $10M record deal back in October, while he was still behind bars! TMZ says Tekashi has bought a fleet of luxury vehicles including a Rolls, a G-Wagon, a McLaren, a Range Rover AND a Ventadore. They say he also bought 4 watches and spent $300K on a chain shaped like a shark. And just in case he blows through all $10M, TMZ says Tekashi has been receiving offers of $500K to perform shows in Saudi Arabia, Australia, Europe and South America when we’re all free to travel again. But Tekashi would have to get permission from his probation officer to make those international trips.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they will no longer communicate with 4 tabloids in particular — “The Sun,” “The Daily Mail,” “The Mirror,” and “The Express.” In a letter sent to each of those tabloids yesterday, it explains, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have watched people they know — as well as complete strangers — have their lives completely pulled apart for no good reason, other than the fact that salacious gossip boosts advertising revenue. With that said, please note that The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be engaging with your outlet. There will be no corroboration and zero engagement.” They went on to say, “It’s not about shutting down public conversation or censoring accurate reporting. Media have every right to report on and indeed have an opinion on The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, good or bad. But it can’t be based on a lie. They also want to be very clear: this is not in any way a blanket policy for all media.” Meantime, Meghan’s lawsuit against the “Mail on Sunday” heads to court this week. She’s suing them for publishing a letter she sent to her dad three months before she married Prince Harry.
Duke and Duchess of Sussex announce they will no longer cooperate with several British tabloid newspapers because of what they call “distorted, false or invasive” stories. https://t.co/XEada1wKnl— ABC News (@ABC) April 20, 2020
Lady Gaga’s two-hour “One World Together at Home”concert featured 19 performances by A-listers quarantined at home, just like all of us. But a lot of people say they were left feeling way more depressed than they were before they started watching. If you were hoping for a foot-stomping, hand-clapping, uplifting singalong like Disney gave us the other night, this wasn’t it. In Other than Jimmy Fallon and the Roots performing “Safety Dance,” it was mostly a big downer of back-to-back acoustic ballads. In fact, the “New York Post” says the night was dominated by narcissism. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello sang “What A Wonderful World.” Taylor Swift sang “Soon You’ll Get Better.” Jennifer Lopez probably lip-synched Barbra Steisand’s “People.” And I love Elton John, but what was that??
.@LadyGaga reminds us to “smile” and be compassionate toward one another during these difficult times. Liam Payne went Instagram Live with DJ Alesso yesterday and gave us a little more information about a possible One Direction reunion. Liam said he’d been on FaceTime with Niall earlier in the day and they were still trying to arrange the first group FaceTime. When Alesso said, “Oh, wow. The world is about to explode,” Liam replied, “You can come in and fill in for Zayn and join the band.” So apparently, Zayn is still a poopy pants. But other than that, Liam wouldn’t dish any more dirt. He said Louis told him off for revealing what little bit he did the other day and now he was probably going to be told off by the rest of the group for what he’d said to Alesso!
🚨@LiamPayne confirms a One Direction reunion is in the works, reveals @Louis_Tomlinson ‘told him off’ for saying too much:
