President of SAG-AFTRA Fran Drescher says the actors union is prepared to stay on strike for at least six months! That is bad news for struggling actors barely scraping by, but it’s good news for the rich and famous ones who are using the opportunity to do a little nipping and tucking while they’re banned from acting and promoting. Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Ben Talei told TMZ business is booming right now. In fact he’s working 7 days a week to keep up with the demand from celebrities who want to emerge from the strike looking fresh as a daisy. Dr. Talei claims several A-list and B-list celebrities have come to see him, including some of his favorites. He said the actors decide what to have done based on how long THEY think the strike will last. Those who think it’ll be resolved quickly are only getting minor work and fillers. Those who think this may drag on for months are getting ALL the things!

After the dismal opening for Disney’s “Haunted Mansion,” we all asked the question, why wouldn’t they wait until Halloween to put this movie out? Asked and answered. This movie had a $150M budget and opened in third place with only $24M. Worldwide, it’s only taken in $33M. Disney took a gamble to open the film in late July to take advantage of kids being out of school for summer vacation. But an analyst with Exhibitor Relations says, “Disney definitely missed the memo trying to launch their spooky pic in the middle of summer. While horror can certainly succeed at any time on the release calendar, this family friendly product would have been much better served in the fall and sheltering clear of all the summer popcorn pics.” According to Variety, Disney also may have been trying to avoid being lost in the shuffle of a bunch of scary movies being released leading up to Halloween. That includes “The Nun II” (Sept. 8), “A Haunting in Venice” (Sept. 15), “Saw X” (Sept. 29), “The Exorcist: Believer” (Oct. 13) and “Five Nights at Freddy’s” (Oct. 27). The difference is, though, none of those movies are geared towards families.

“Suits” ran on the USA Network from 2011-2019. But 4 years after its run, Netflix is streaming 8 of its 9 seasons, and people who knew there was some show Meghan Markle was on before she met Prince Harry have discovered it and they’re loving it! Executive producer Gene Klein told TVLine that he’s not aware of any serious conversations, but he wouldn’t be surprised to get a call to fire up a reboot. Why Netflix has only 8 of the 9 seasons, I don’t know, but Peacock has all nine.

Gwyneth Paltrow is putting the guest house at her home in Montecito, California, on Airbnb, and it comes with Gwyneth Paltrow! Booking doesn’t start until August 15 and we’re not sure how much she’ll be asking, but this thing can’t be cheap! Not only will you enjoy dinner with Gwyneth and her husband Brad Falchuk in the wine room, you’ll also enjoy a spa day, a guided transcendental meditation, and learn “valuable techniques to continue your journey towards emotional health long after your stay.”

Lizzo, her production company and her dance team captain Shirlene Quigley are all being sued by 3 former backup dancers who claim they were subjected to weight-shaming, sexual, religious and racial harassment, false imprisonment, and other incidents that created a hostile work environment. Former dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez claim that Lizzo may preach body positivity, but in private, she weight-shames all of her dancers. Not only that, the dancers claim Lizzo took them all to a strip club in Amsterdam and encouraged them to do a number of vulgar things you will have to search on your own. No comment yet from Lizzo or Shirlene, but other women are coming forward to support the women who filed the lawsuit. Courtney Hollinquest is also a former backup dancer for Lizzo. She posted on her IG Story, “For clarification, I’m not a part of of the lawsuit – but this was very much my experience in my time there. Big shoutout to the dancers who had the courage to bring this to light.” Quinn Wilson used to work as Rizzo’s creative director. She posted that she echoed what Courtney said, adding, “I haven’t been a part of that world for around three years, for a reason. I very much applaud the dancers’ courage to bring this to light. And I grieve parts of my own experience….Also, director Sophia Nahli Allison came forward to say that Lizzo was so disrespectful toward her, she walked away from directing a documentary about her only 2 weeks into filming. She said, “I witnessed how self-centered, arrogant and unkind she is. I was not protected and I was thrown into a s****y situation with little support. My spirit said to run as fast as you (BLANKING) can and I’m so grateful I trusted my gut.”
