Listen to “Showbiz – Aug 21, 2020” on Spreaker.

Nothing in life is guaranteed. After renewing “Tosh.O” for four more seasons back in January, Comedy Central has changed its mind. The show will end after its upcoming 12th season, which debuts on Sept. 15. If you’re not familiar, “Tosh.O” is hosted by Daniel Tosh, who makes fun of viral videos and stuff going on in pop culture. Apparently, Comedy Central decided they want to focus more on adult animation. They recently announced reboots of “Red & Stimpy” and “Beavis and Butt-Head,” and a spinoff of “Daria” called “Jodie.” Daniel Tosh tweeted, “after 12 years together, comedy central and i are consciously uncoupling. they get the cartoons, and i’m heading to any network with stronger wifi. #twelvemoreyears” So if you’re a fan of the show, the good news is they are shopping it to other networks. For its final season on Comedy Central, they’re adding a new segment called “Web Legends,” which will feature that “Friday” loving Rebecca Black.

Kelly Osbourne says she did it. She’s proud of it. And anybody who has a problem with it can do something disgusting that I won’t repeat. Everybody is going on and on about the 85 pounds Kelly lost. She’s actually been dropping the weight steadily over 2 years, but for some reason, we’re just now paying attention. Kelly revealed on a podcast yesterday that she had a gastric sleeve procedure two years ago, and said it was the best thing she’s ever done. She said she went through a year of therapy first, dealing with the emotional reasons that led to her over-eating. And this is something I’ve never heard before, Kelly said that when you have the gastric sleeve, “…It cuts out this hormone that if you have addiction issues, it stops your craving and it makes you not emotionally eat.” But it’s not a quick fix. Kelly said if you don’t eat right and exercise, you will gain weight. Back in 1999, Kelly’s mom Sharon had a gastric bypass procedure, but she had her band removed in 2006.

The YouTube record for the most views for a music video in its first 24 hours belongs to K-pop girl group Blackpink. Back on June 27, their video for “How You Like That” was viewed 86.3M times in its first 24 hours. And now just 8 weeks later, that record is on the verge of being shattered. Never underestimate the power of the BTS Army. BTS released the video for their first English-only single “Dynamite” last night. Within the first 20 minutes, it had been viewed a record-setting 10M times. In less than an hour, the number had more than doubled. In its first 8 hours, it passed 53M. There’s no way they’re not breaking the Blackpink record. By the way, BTS will perform “Dynamite” for the first time on TV at the VMAs Aug. 30th. Other performers include Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and The Weeknd. Maluma and CNCO are going to try to perform in front of a crowd. They’re looking for “super fans” who are willing to follow the rules. Fans can bring a guest, but only if they live together. They both have to get tested for COVID-19 this Sunday and then isolate together for the week leading up to the show.

Less than a week after announcing they are expecting their third child, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have put their house on the market. A source told People, “With a third child coming, they want a house they can grow into.” Huh? Granted, in addition to having another baby, Chrissy’s mom also lives with them. But their current house is 8520 square feet! It has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms! Not only that, they just remodeled two massive master closets! Plus, they’re giving up a movie theater, a gigantic playroom, a glam room, a chef’s kitchen, a huge backyard with a saltwater pool, a pergola covered in grapevines and a wood-burning oven! John and Chrissy bought this house from Rihanna for $14.1M back in January 2016. They’re listing it for $23.95M. And even though Chrissy is a fan of “Selling Sunset,” she is NOT listing with the Oppenheim Agency.

They spent millions trying to avoid going to prison, but finally threw in the towel. Back in May, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo accepted plea deals in the college bribery scandal. It’s been more than a year since they were arrested for allegedly paying $500K to get their daughters into USC as crew recruits. The girls had never rowed a day in their lives, except for the day they staged a photo shoot for their college applications. But today, we’ll find out if the judge accepts the terms of Lori and Mossimo’s plea deals. Lori would serve 2 months in prison, perform 100 hours of community service, have two years of supervised release and pay a $150K fine. Mossimo would serve 5 months, perform 250 hours of community service, have two years of supervised release and pay a $250K fine. The judge could either accept this deal, come up with his own punishment, or reject the whole thing and tell everybody to start over. We’ll find out this afternoon! Lori and Mossimo will meet virtually with the judge from their home in LA. They recently downsized, putting their Bel-Air mansion on the market in January for $28.65M and settling into a $9.5M mansion in Hidden Hills.
