Melania Trump is recovering today after surgery for a benign kidney condition. The White House says the surgery was successful and she will likely remain in the hospital for the rest of the week. Melania is the first First Lady to undergo a serious procedure while in the White House since Nancy Reagan had a mastectomy in 1987.
A second woman has now come forward to accuse “Southern Charm” star Thomas Ravenel of rape. First, a woman tweeted that back in 2015, her mother was sexually assaulted by Thomas. She says they met on Tinder and that he assaulted her mom the night they met. She says Thomas paid her mom $200K and had her sign a non-disclosure agreement, but he didn’t have the daughter sign anything and she wants the truth to come out. Seeing that tweet gave Dawn Ledwell the courage to come forward. If you watch “Southern Charm,” this is Nanny Dawn who looked after Thomas’ daughter Kensie four years ago. Dawn claims Thomas attacked her after coming home from dinner with friends, but she never said anything. Now she says, “I was outraged because I found out then that I was not an isolated incident. I had blamed myself, like many victims do, (but I realized then) that it wasn’t my fault. It was his fault. He’s the perpetrator.” Dawn has now filed a police report in Charleston. Rape is a felony that carries a penalty of up to 30 years in prison in SC.
Congratulations to Taraji P. Henson on her engagement to former NFL player Kelvin Hayden. She says it was a complete surprise, which is the most fun! Taraji told Entertainment Tonight that she was in Atlanta filming her movie “What Men Want” and told Kelvin that she was going to come home for Mother’s Day and he said, “Come home!” She said she didn’t think anything of it. Then that night, he took her to the place where they had their first date and took her back to a private room where there were violins playing and it slowly hit her. She said, “As I’m putting the dots together, I turn around, he’s on his knee and then the river of tears just started and my lashes ended up on the floor!” And she loves her ring. She said, “It’s not too big. It’s not too gaudy. It’s just perfect. He did great.”
John Cena is feeling all the emotions when it comes to being dumped by Nikki Bella a couple weeks before their wedding. He told Kathie Lee and Hoda yesterday, “I had my heart broken out of nowhere…I still love Nicole. I still would love to marry Nicole. I still would love to have a family with Nicole.” They were supposed to be married on May 5 and John took two weeks off because he THOUGHT they would be on their honeymoon. So to avoid being sad and alone in his house, every morning he goes out and talks to random strangers. So sad!!

Thomas Markle was supposed to meet his future son-in-law this week, but now it looks like that’s not going to happen. After being caught staging photos for the paparazzi, Thomas says to avoid embarrassing his daughter any further, he will not be walking Meghan down the aisle Saturday. He thinks her mother should do it, instead. Meghan’s half-sister takes the blame for the staged photos, saying she convinced her dad to do it because flattering pictures of Meghan’s family would please the Palace. It backfired big time.
