Liza Minnelli just turned 69 last week and as a belated birthday present to herself, she’s checked into rehab in Malibu to deal with her alcoholism. Her spokesperson says Liza has “valiantly battled substance abuse over the years, and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so. She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility.”

For the first time since 1998, Madonna released an album that didn’t debut at number one! Apparently, Madonna doesn’t do well against soundtracks. Back in ’98, the “Titanic” soundtrack kept her from the top spot, and now the “Empire” soundtrack has done the same thing! That’s because she’s never had to go up against “Empire” before. The “Empire” soundtrack includes 18 songs from the show, featuring artists like Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Juicy J, Rita Ora and Courtney Love.

It’s going to have to happen. Katy Perry and John Mayer need to get married to get divorced. But for now, after giving it another try for the past two months, they’ve just broken up again. What is this….the fourth time? She’s already been spotted hanging out with Mumford and Sons banjo player, Winston Marshall, in Berlin. A source told RadarOnline.com that Katy and John keep hooking up out of convenience more than anything else. The source said, “Katy and John reconnected once she had a break in her Prismatic World Tour. So, for those few months they had a great time, pretending that it would last — and of course it didn’t.” But they keep breaking up because Katy gets busy again and John can’t handle the lack of attention, and then she has trust issues when they’re separated for any length of time. Another source says that John’s jealous over Katy’s success, especially since he doesn’t have anything major going on with his career right now.

When he was in Thailand, Zayn Malik was photographed in a nightclub holding hands with a blonde fan named Lauren Rich, but he denied that he was cheating on his fiancee. Zayn tweeted, “I’m 22 years old…I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous (BLANKS) in this world. I’m sorry for what it looks like x.” Well, whether he was or wasn’t, sources told HollywoodLife.com that the other guys in One Direction are encouraging Zayn to call off his engagement. The source says the other guys have nothing against Perrie and they think she’s a sweetheart. But they also believe that Zayn’s just not ready to settle down, especially with this latest incident behaving inappropriately with a fan.

Miley Cyrus reportedly dumped Patrick Schwarzenegger over those PDA-filled spring break photos and he’s reportedly begging her to give him another chance. But Patrick may have more serious issues to deal with at the moment….like saving his life!! Miley’s fans are threatening to kill him for cheating on her. How would you like to wake up to messages like these in your Twitter feed — “You better run for your life when you come to LA” … “Who’s gonna kill Patrick for us?” … “Be ready for what’s about to come.” That one came with knife and poop emojis.
