Mariah Carey’s 36-carat engagement ring… Morgan Freeman sexual harassment claims… Kim Kardashian defends Kanye… Cardi B is confused… and Nicki Minaj and Eminem tease dating rumors

In January 2016, billionaire James Packer proposed to Mariah Carey with a $10 million 36-carat engagement ring. About ten months later, they got into a huge fight while yachting in Greece and the wedding was off. Mariah kept the ring, though! But now she’s reportedly sold it. Her publicist wouldn’t give any specifics but did tell Page Six, “Mariah has been very vocal recently about her choice to move forward in her life surrounded by positivity. That requires leaving emotional and material baggage behind, including an old engagement ring from an ex-boyfriend.” Another source told Page Six that the ring was worth way less than the $10 million that was reported. A jeweler in LA reportedly paid $2.1 million to take it off Mariah’s hands.

Several women have come forward claiming Morgan Freeman is a creepy old man who sexually harassed them, and The Blast says this is just the tip of the iceberg. Several more women are expected to come forward in the weeks ahead. One of the alleged victims reportedly worked for Morgan for years and claims to have witnessed him harassing several other women, as well. Morgan issued a statement on Friday, saying,

“I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports. All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor.

I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women—and men—feel appreciated and at ease around me. As part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.

Clearly, I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologized Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally.

But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false.”

When Kim Kardashian says “I will always ride for my man!” she means it. So on Friday, Pusha T released a song that Kanye produced called “Infrared” and it takes some shots at Drake. Drake responded by releasing his own diss track “Duppy Freestyle” and sent Kanyes’ G.O.O.D Music label an invoice for $100K for “promotional assistance and career-reviving.” So then another rapper named Rhymefest wanted to get in on this, so he tweeted on Saturday, “I’m asking @Drake to help the part of Chicago Kanye has Abandoned! Please contact @DondasHouse.” That’s when Kim decided to “break this all the way down” and explained in a series of tweets that Kanye and his mother Donda started a charity called Loop Dreams. When Donda died, they changed the name to Donda’s House and Kanye paid Rhymefest a salary to run it. The charity AND Kanye went through some financial difficulties, so Kim says Rhymefest asked to take it over and Kanye agreed, BUT, she said, there were no financial strings attached. She said this move by Rhymefest “just seems very calculated.”

If it took you a while to realize Donald Glover is Childish Gambino, don’t feel bad about it. Cardi B just found out, too. She tweeted (and then deleted!), “It’s amazing how Donald Glover and Childish Gambino look soo much alike. I think they secretly the same person!!! Soo dope!!” Apparently, she got some responses that confused her because she tweeted, “Wait, I’m confuse now.”

In her song “Big Bank,” Nicki Minaj raps about Eminem, saying, “Once he go black, he’ll be back again.” When one of her fans asked if she and Eminem were, in fact, dating, she said, “Yes.” But, in fact, they are not. This isn’t stopping Eminem from having fun with it. He asked the crowd at his Boston show what they thought about him dating Nicki and they went nuts. He said he’d kinda like to date her and added, “Nicki, if you get this message, just text me late. We’ll talk about it.” She responded on Twitter instead, “LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The fact that he’s silly & a goof just like me😩. Love him so much. Em we need you on the #Queen album. That’s where our 1st date will be; at the studio while I gaze into ur beautiful eyes as u write ur verse.” So basically, this could be nothing more than a publicity stunt, or MAYBE………..
