Outrage Over Logan Paul Filming Suicide Victim

Hoda Kotb’s announcement… Mike Tyson is an entrepreneur… Carrie Underwood is recovering… Cardi B warned Offset onstage… and Outrage over Logan Paul filming suicide victim

Just before showtime this morning, it was announced that Hoda Kotb is the permanent replacement for Matt Lauer on “Today.” She and Savannah Guthrie will anchor the 7am and 8am hours; Megyn Kelly will continue to host the 9am hour; and then Hoda will be back at 10am with Kathie Lee Gifford.

Kotb joins Savannah Guthrie at the anchor desk, marking the first time a female team is leading the NBC News morning show.

Mike Tyson is an entrepreneur! He broke ground on a 40-acre plot in California City — a remote desert out in the middle of nowhere — with plans to develop what he and his business partners are calling Tyson Ranch. The focus? Marijuana! The plan is to develop high quality strains of THC and CBD using cutting-edge technology to advance the research on the health benefits of pot. Twenty acres will be used for growing marijuana. The rest of Tyson Ranch will feature an edible factory, an amphitheater, and “glamping” campgrounds and cabins.

Back in November, Carrie Underwood suffered a bad fall on the steps of her Nashville home. We knew it was bad and that she broke her wrist, but now Carrie’s revealing it was even worse than we thought. She posted a message to her fan club members saying, “It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told (husband) Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in.” Carrie says she’s still healing and doesn’t quite look the same. She says she doesn’t know how things are going to end up, but she’s grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse.

When she hosted a NYE party in NYC, Cardi B left her 8-carat diamond engagement ring at home. Last week, her fiance Offset got busted for cheating on her when his iCloud was hacked and there was a video of him with another woman. The video was taken in September, about a month before Offset proposed. On Thursday, Cardi B warned him ONSTAGE, “You do that (BLANK) again and, you gonna lose your wife!” But then Instagram star Celina Powell came forward to claim that she is pregnant with Offset’s baby. Now, Celina has claimed that other rappers have gotten her pregnant before, but this time is different. She says, “Offset is 1000 percent the father of my baby.”

YouTube star Logan Paul made a horrible decision. On Sunday he posted a 15-minute video of him and some friends visiting a forest at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan that is often called the “suicide forest” because so many people have gone there to commit suicide. At the beginning of the video, Logan says, “I think this definitely marks a moment in YouTube history because I’m pretty sure this has never hopefully happened to anyone on YouTube ever. Now with that said — Buckle the (BLANK) up, because you’re never gonna see a video like this again!” Then Logan posted video of them freaking out when they saw a young man’s body hanging from a tree. And they’re going on and on about it and by the end of the video, they’re joking around about what they’d seen. It was just tacky and disrespectful. Logan has deleted the video and issued a long apology, saying he “intended to raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention,” but ended up “misguided by shock and awe, as portrayed in the video.” Reaction has been ugly. Aaron Paul tweeted, “Dear @LoganPaul, How dare you! You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell. Ap” And Sophie Turner tweeted, “@LoganPaul You’re an idiot. You’re not raising awareness. You’re mocking. I can’t believe how self-praising your ‘apology’ is. You don’t deserve the success (views) you have. I pray to God you never have to experience anything like that man did. And Instagram star Nate Garner suggested, “if you really care logan paul then donate your 2018 youtube revenue to suicide prevention charities, @afspnational is a great one.”
