Weekend box office news… Paula Abdul fell face first… Floyd Mayweather is buying lottery tickets… Hailey Baldwin’s trademarks… and Pete Davidson breaks silence after Ariana Grande split
A LOT of people got into the Halloween spirit by heading to the movies this weekend to see the “Halloween” sequel. The movie cost about $10 million to make and earned about $77.5 million on its opening weekend! This movie is a direct sequel to the original “Halloween” form 1978, meaning it ignores the nine other sequels and remakes and jumps ahead 40 years to Laurie — played by Jamie Lee Curtis — going back up against Michael Myers. “A Star Is Born” landed in second place again — the same spot where it’s been for three weeks now, earning another $19.3 million. “Venom” dropped to third with $18.1 million.

But that perky little 56-year-old bounced right back up and kept lip-synching! You go, Paula! Paula is headlining her first solo tour in 25 years.

According to The Blast, Hailey has trademarked the name “Hailey Bieber” which she plans to use for a clothing line. Pete Davidson didn’t want to let Judd Apatow down, so he honored his commitment to appear at a charity event called “Judd & Pete for America.” He told the crowd, “Well, as you could tell, I don’t want to be here. There’s a lot going on. Does anybody have any open rooms? Looking for a roommate?” But the jokes did get better after that. According to E! News, Pete basically agreed with pretty much everyone who thought his decision to propose to Ariana after just a few weeks of dating wasn’t the smartest decision. Pete said, “So, obviously you know I, we broke up or whatever but when me and her first got engaged we got tattoos. And it was like in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ And 93 percent of it said yes…….And I’m like, yeah, (BLANK) that. I’m not stupid. And the other day we were in my kitchen and he was like, ‘Yo bro. Turns out you were stupid.’”
