Box office weekend… Kacey Musgraves is horrified… Lala Kent announces she’s pregnant… Miley Cyrus was unaware… and Rihanna performs concert in India

Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment spent about $190M to produce it and another $100M to promote it, and it looks like that will be money well spent. Dune: Part 2 opened beyond expectations, earning $81.5M domestically, and another $97M globally….and it doesn’t even open in China until next weekend and in Japan the weekend after that! So even though a Part 3 hasn’t been confirmed — and you know it will be — director Denis Villeneuve said he’s already working on the script for Dune Messiah, the second in Frank Hebert’s Dune series of six novels, which was originally published in 1969.

Rather than basking in the glow of her SNL debut, Kacey Musgraves is freaking out about her wardrobe malfunction. I thought it was going to be that her shoes broke because she performed her new single Deeper Well barefoot. That wasn’t it. She was actually horrified that she left a hair clip in her hair for the show’s closing credits. Kacey posted a picture of her oopsie, captioning it, “The clip. I forgot to remove the clip.” Apparently her stylist left it in her hair when Kacey rushed on stage for Sydney Sweeny’s “thank you and good night” speech. But honestly, I — along with many of the commenters — thought that was an intentional fashion choice. And I fully expect that to be the next hair trend. As far as going barefoot, that was apparently done on purpose to illustrate how grounded she feels with this new album.

At the Season 11 premiere party for Vanderpump Rules in January, Lala Kent talked about wanting a sibling for her daughter Ocean. She said fans of the upcoming season would see her practicing a softer side because she was actively considering giving her daughter a sibling, because Ocean will be 3 this month and she wants them to be close in age. Lala also said she would be using a sperm donor to make that happen. She told Cosmopolitan, “It took a really long time to find the donor because, you know, it’s strange… It’s like you’re shopping for your partner but only to have a child, so there’s a lot that goes into it. But the moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me. He felt like my baby daddy. So that’s where we’re at. The moment I can go forward with the IUI, then we’ll be there.” Well, she is MORE than there, because surprise! Lala announced yesterday that she is pregnant! And based on the size of her belly, she was most likely already pregnant in January.

Last week, Us Weekly reported that Noah Cyrus was seeing Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell when her mom Tish stole him away from her! Now People is reporting that Miley was clueless. Their source said, “Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all…She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy.” The source also said Noah and Dominic were never serious, saying they were “seeing each other in a friends with benefits way, off and on.” The source said it was during one of the “off” periods that Tish started seeing Dominic. The source said Tish was aware of Dominic’s relationship with her youngest daughter, but she “never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before (Tish and Dominic) got married.”

The closest she’s come to a full concert was at last year’s Super Bowl, but it’s been 8 years since Rihanna put on a full show. All it took was $6M for Rihanna to come out of her self-imposed retirement and perform 19 songs during a 90-minute set at a pre-wedding party for an Indian billionaire. And now that clips have hit social media, Rihanna is being slammed for doing the bare minimum with her “lazy” and “boring” performance. Besides her $6M payday, Rihanna could benefit in an even bigger way. The billionaire who hired her bought the rights to Sephora India last year, and this could be a strategic move to get her Fenty products into all of his stores.
