Update on Derek Hough’s feet… Quentin Alexander leaves “American Idol”…. “The Voice” homecoming celebration… Does Bradley Cooper have a type?… and Robert Downey Jr. walks out of interview.
We have an update on Derek Hough’s feet! He posted on Instagram: “Performing 10 shows a week at Radio City while rehearsing with Nastia for DWTS, I’ve never felt more healthy, strong and fit. But then a fluke accident happened that involved a light and some stairs…I’m doing everything I possibly can to have a quick recovery and I’m determined to come back stronger than ever…This is new territory for me, I’m usually able to work through injury but this one has literally floored me. But like I said before I’m determined to come back all guns blazing … soon!!!#setbackisasetupforacomeback
SPOILER ALERT: It really shouldn’t come as a shock, especially after last week’s blowup with Harry Connick Jr., but Quentin Alexander was sent packing on last night’s “American Idol.” And going home in sixth place apparently cost Quentin a spot on the “American Idol Live!” summer tour. When did they drop that down to just the top five?
Thing’s could get interesting on this Monday night’s episode of “The Voice.” It’s a homecoming celebration! Look for CeeLo Green, Gwen Stefani and Usher to return, but not as judges. They’ll serve as advisers to the eight remaining contestants being coached by Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera.
Bradley Cooper definitely has a type — Model! Last night, he and Irina Shayk were spotted in the audience of “Finding Neverland,” starring Matthew Morrison from “Glee.” Hey, at least she’s older than his usual type — 29! Sources told “Page Six” that Bradley and Irina have known each other for a while through mutual friends, but they’ve been hanging out a lot for the past week. Bradley broke up with Suki Waterhouse earlier this year, but they were spotted at Coachella a couple weeks ago, so people were thinking maybe they were hooking back up. And Irina broke up with Cristiano Ronaldo back in January.
Robert Downey Jr. is doing the rounds promoting “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” But things took an ugly turn during an interview with a reporter for the UK’s Channel 4. Krishnan Guru-Murthy kept going on and on and on about Robert’s druggie past, asking him to explain past quotes about his time in jail and asking if his relationship with his father led to a reliance on drugs and alcohol. Robert finally had enough and asked, “I’m sorry, what are we doing?” He then took off his mic and left the room, telling the reporter he was a nice guy and all but this was getting a little too “Diane Sawyer” for him.
