The NY Post is claiming that Joan Rivers stopped breathing after a pair of experienced doctors at an outpatient clinic made a risky, spur-of-the-moment decision to do an unscheduled biopsy on her throat. According to the source, when the scope was put down her throat, doctors found a suspicious growth and decided to go ahead and biopsy it. That incision reportedly caused Joan’s vocal cords to seize up, blocking her breathing entirely and leading to the brain damage that ultimately caused her death. A spokeswoman for the clinic denies the story, saying a biopsy was never performed.
A waiter at PYT restaurant in Philadelphia tweeted the photo of a receipt showing that Eagles player LeSean McCoy left him a 20-cent tip on a $61 tab. The waiter admits he messed up a couple of times, but a 20-cent tip was offensive. Charlie Sheen agreed. He happens to be a fan of PYT and reached out to the owner on Twitter saying, “Please tell Rob K I’m pledging 1000 dollars to him for the tip debacle just wanna help #NoJudgement.”
NBC announced yesterday that Chris Pratt will host the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” when the show returns on September 27. His musical guest will be Ariana Grande. The following week, Sarah Silverman hosts, with musical guest Maroon 5. This is the first time hosting for both Chris and Sarah. Sarah was actually a writer and featured player on the show during the ’93-’94 season but was fired after that.
Kanye West had to go to the hospital in Australia yesterday. According to Woman’s Day Australia, Kanye’s face was covered as his bodyguards rushed him through a back entrance of Epworth Hospital outside Melbourne. There were rumor in Richmond, South Australia. There were rumors that Kanye had suffered a seizure but it turns out he was actually suffering from a terrible migraine.
After winning the US Open on Sunday, Serena Williams and the woman she defeated, Caroline Wozniacki, went out to celebrate. They partied HARD all night long, even posting pictures of themselves hanging with Joe Jonas and model Gigi Hadid. Sources say Serena’s party ordered champagne and vodka and danced until about 3 in the morning. As a result, Serena missed ALL of her appearances the next morning, including “Good Morning America.”
