Netflix, BBC, and ITV are banning corsets from period dramas because they’re simply too dangerous. One source told “Metro UK,” “Many actresses have complained to wardrobe departments about damage, both short-term and long, being done after a long 12 to 14-hour day wearing them on set. Essentially, there were health and safety concerns about keeping women in a pinching corset for weeks at a time.” “Bridgerton” actress Simone Ashley revealed in a couple of interviews that her corset was so painful that it caused her to vomit, and she thinks she even tore her shoulder at one point! She told “Glamour UK” that she also realized “when you wear the corset, you just don’t eat. It changes your body. I had a smaller waist very momentarily, Then the minute you stop wearing it, you’re just back to how your body is. Simone said that while the corsets are beautiful, she hates them. But luckily, the actresses are now allowed to wear pushup bras instead.

Last week, Alec Baldwin pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the accidental shooting death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Meantime, he’s facing another lawsuit. Three crew members from the set — the dolly operator, the set costumer and the key grip — are suing Alec and the film’s other producers, claiming they were negligent when it came to safety on the set, and that the shooting caused them physical and psychological injuries. According to the lawsuit, “Defendants cut corners; ignored reports of multiple, unscripted firearms discharges; and persisted, rushed and understaffed, to finish the film.” All three of the crew members say they witnessed the gunshot flash and experienced “blast injuries.” The three have “independently sought support in dealing with their injuries which include, but are not limited to, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.”

Travis Barker injured his finger really badly while rehearsing for Blink-182’s upcoming world tour. Earlier this month he tweeted that he while he was drumming, he smashed his finger so hard that he dislocated it and tore the ligaments. After two weeks in a brace, things weren’t getting any better so now he’s having surgery to repair the damage. No word yet on if this will affect Blink-182’s tour dates. The first show is scheduled for March 11 in Tijuana, Mexico.

Keke Palmer and boyfriend Darius Jackson welcomed their son into the world over the weekend. Keke waited a couple days to share the big news.
