Remember last year’s Batgirl fiasco? Warner Bros. spent almost $90M producing Batgirl for HBO Max. It starred Leslie Grace, who blew everybody away in the movie In the Heights. Leslie would’ve made history as the first Latina to play Batgirl, but Warner Bros. basically threw it all in the trash. Even though they’d finished filming, they decided not to release it and it may never see the light of day. At the same time, Warner Bros. announced they were scrapping their kid-friendly movie Scoob! Holiday Haunt, even though they’d already sunk $40M into it. Now Warner Bros. has gone and done it again! They made a movie about Wile E. Coyote called Coyote vs. Acme — a mix of live-action and animation starring John Cena. They spent over $30M on it and it’s completely done, but they’ve decided they’re not going to release this one, either. Apparently, the studio believes these movies are worth more as tax write-offs.

People just love smashing single celebrities together. After Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady consciously uncoupled, there were rumors that he was hooking up with Kim Kardashian. It turns out Kim really was just asking Tom for advice about buying a house in this exclusive neighborhood in the Bahamas where Tom owns a place. Then they had Tom dating Reese Witherspoon, but both of their reps said, “Nah.” In fact, the two of them had never even met. But here we are, six months later, and Reese is now the subject of another dating rumor. This time, she’s been paired up with the recently single Kevin Costner. Kevin hasn’t bothered to comment, but Reese’s rep released a statement to all the major tabloids saying, “This story is completely fabricated and not true.”

In May of 2021 Keke Palmer went to a party hosted by Diddy, where she met Darius Jackson. They fell in love. In December 2022, while hosting SNL, Keke surprised us all with her baby bump. They welcomed Leodis Andrellton Jackson on Feb. 25, 2023. But then in July, Keke went to see Usher in Vegas, and Darius went on social media to shame her for dressing sexy, reminding Keke, “You a mom.” Keke responded by posting more sexy photos of her in that dress, adding, “I wish I had taken more pictures…” They broke up, but by August, things seemed to be better. Keke and Darius went Instagram Live while celebrating her 30th birthday and the next month, they went to see Beyonce in LA. But things took an ugly turn. Keke has filed for a temporary restraining order against Darius, and she’s asking a judge for full custody of their 8-month-old son. In her filing, which Page Six has seen, Keke claims there have been “many instances of physical violence,” including destroying her property, throwing her belongings into the street, throwing her keys to prevent her from driving away, hitting her and cursing at her in front of their child, and threatening to kill himself if she left. In her filing, Keke claims to have security footage from Nov. 5 showing Darius attacking her and then stealing her phone when she said she was calling the police. She’s asking the judge to have Darius complete a 52-week batterer intervention program.

Travis Kelce couldn’t make if for Taylor Swift’s first night of her international tour in Argentina. He stayed behind to attend a gala for his buddy Patrick Mahomes, who was being honored for his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation. Patrick’s charity focuses on improving the health and wellness of children from communities in need. But we can safely assume that when that last speech was made, Travis headed straight to the airport and – hopefully – he remembered his passport because he doesn’t have a lot of time to dawdle. Travis is expected to be there for Taylor’s concert in Buenos Aires either tonight or tomorrow night, but then he has to turn right back around and fly home to Kansas City. Travis has to be back for team practice on Monday because the Chiefs are hosting his brother Jason’s Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch on Nov. 20.

Has Shawn Mendes found love again? This week, Shawn was spotted having a cozy dinner with a mystery woman in LA. They weren’t making out or anything, but she did have her arm draped around his shoulders as they close-talked. Paparazzi got a better view of this mystery woman on Wednesday when the two of them hit up the beach in Malibu. On BackGrid’s TikTok, you can see video of them sitting on the beach, doing funky deep-breathing yoga-type exercises and then waving their arms in free-form dance moves as they sang together. Shawn’s rocking a little facial hair, too. Internet sleuths figured out this deep-breathing mystery woman is Charlie Travers. She’s from the UK and she’s 37 — 12 years older than Shawn. You may recognize her as Tyler Henry’s assistant on the reality series Hollywood Medium, but 10 years ago, Charlie and her mom made history when they joined Big Brother 14 in the UK as their first-ever mother-daughter duo. Charlie ended up placing 5th, but has she become Shawn’s No. 1?
