Taylor Swift’s Father Accused of Assaulting Paparazzi

Imagine ticking off your co-workers with your condescending comments, calling women in their 50s past their prime, getting fired because your ratings are in the toilet, and then walking away with $24.5M. That’s basically the story of Don Lemon. Last year CNN fired Don, but rather than doing it face-to-face, they told his agent instead. Don posted, “After 17 years at CNN I would have thought someone in management would have the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear there are some larger issues at play.” CNN released a statement saying Don’s version of events was “inaccurate” and that he was offered the chance to meet with management but released a statement on Twitter instead. Either way, Don was out, but he still had 3.5 years on his contract. Now all these months later, The Wrap has reported that Don and CNN have reached an agreement that pays him the $24.5M he was promised.

While promoting Season 2 of her Hulu show Life & Beth, a lot of people felt the need to comment on Amy Schumer’s puffy face. She was rightfully offended, but she said all the noise about her looks made her realize something might be wrong. And now, Amy’s been diagnosed with Cushing’s syndrome, which is caused by excessive amounts of cortisol, also known as the stress hormone. And when you have too much cortisol in your system, it can result in a range of symptoms, including a round, puffy face, weight gain, high blood pressure and bone loss. To get her diagnosis, Amy said she was in an MRI four hours at a time, having her beings shut down from the amount of blood being drawn from her veins. But thankfully, she found out the type of Cushing’s syndrome she has will work itself out.

At her tour stop in Sacramento, Madonna wanted to pay tribute to artists who lost their lives to AIDS. On the screen was displayed a huge image of Freddie Mercury next to Luther Vandross. But Luther’s estate is asking Madonna to remove that image because Luther didn’t die from AIDS. He died in 2005 from complications of a stroke he suffered in 2003. In a statement, the estate said, “While we appreciate Madonna’s recognition of those lives lost to AIDS, Luther was NEVER diagnosed with AIDS or the HIV Virus. We’re not sure where she or her production team received false medical information claiming otherwise.” Madonna has already taken care of it and Luther is out of the tribute.

TMZ was first to report that Diddy has been sued by a former producer and photographer who claims Diddy would walk around naked in front of him, make unwanted advances, and sexually assault him. Rodney Jones — aka Lil Rod — said these incidents occurred between September 2022 and November 2023, while he worked on Diddy’s album. But Diddy’s lawyer Shawn Holley told TMZ, “Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30M lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday.” She added that they have “overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies.” However, she said all attempts to share that proof with Lil Rod’s attorney have been ignored. One of Diddy’s reps said, “This is a clear example of a desperate person taking desperate measures in hopes of a pay day. There will be legal consequences for ALL defamatory statements made about the Combs family.” Interesting to note, a few weeks ago, Lil Rod launched a GoFundMe asking for donations to help him sue Diddy for stealing his publishing.

An Australian paparazzo has accused Taylor Swift’s dad Scott of assault. About 2:30 this morning, Taylor and her dad were exiting a yacht at one of Sydney’s ferry wharves when there was all this commotion. Photographer Ben McDonald claims that for no reason, Scott punched him. Even though he suffered no physical injuries, Ben said the hit was unnecessary because security had things under control. So he filed a police report and is leaving the matter in their hands. But Taylor’s camp is speaking out, telling Page Six, “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.” Taylor and Scott didn’t stick around to see how this all plays out. They took off for Singapore in her private jet just hours after the kerfuffle.
