Taylor Swift’s Video Director Defends Beyoncé Comparisons

Telethon now called “Hurricane Relief”… Lil Wayne in the studio… What does PETER think?… Louis Tomlinson threatened… and Taylor Swift’s video director defends Beyoncé comparisons

It was originally a Hurricane Harvey telethon, but now that we’re preparing ourselves for massive damage from Irma, Tuesday night’s telethon is now being called “Hurricane Relief.” TMZ has gotten hold of a partial list of the celebrities pitching in to ask for our donations Tuesday night. They include Justin Bieber, Drake, Reese Witherspoon, Jamie Foxx, Blake Shelton, Sofia Vergara, and Robert De Niro, just to name a FEW. The telethon will air on all four major networks for one hour only, and it will be based out of LA, NY and Nashville.

After suffering multiple seizures in Chicago this past Sunday, and despite doctor’s orders telling him to take some time off, Lil Wayne is back in the recording studio….with Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers?? Damian posted a picture yesterday of him and Weezy in the studio, captioning it, “#Confirmed.”

Who cares what WE think about Arie Luyendyk Jr. being the next Bachelor, what does PETER think???? While his manager says he has no hard feelings, sources behind the scenes say Peter Kraus is super bummed that he was passed over. Yes, Peter has a manager. And the manager says, “Peter is very happy about the way things turned out and is happy for Arie. He thinks ABC made a great choice.” Whatever! The night before news broke, Peter tweeted, “Never let fear hold you back. Lesson learned.” So for now, Peter’s manager says he’s going to head back to Madison, Wisconsin, to focus on his passion, which is “helping people through fitness and wellness.” He says Peter is “very thankful for the opportunity he was given with The Bachelorette. Things are going to be great for Peter Kraus fitness and his boot camps moving forward.”

According to The Blast, Louis Tomlinson started receiving some obscene, disturbing and threatening messages through the WhatsApp messenger. They came from three separate numbers and they included some violent threats against his family that are truly too upsetting to repeat here. Louis actually reached out to one of these horrible people hoping he could make the harassment stop, but a young woman on the other end of the line started screaming at him, cursing him and his late mother. Louis and his attorney went straight to the LAPD to let them know what was happening and they have launched a full-scale investigation.

Sometimes, it’s just better to say nothing. But Joseph Kahn isn’t done defending Taylor Swift, who was accused of copying Beyonce’s work on “Formation” in her video for “Look What You Made Me Do,” which Joseph directed. In fact, he not only said Taylor didn’t copy Beyonce, he told the Los Angeles Times that Beyonce copied Taylor! Joseph explained that “Look What You Made Me Do” is “not ‘Formation’ at all. They try to say she’s wearing a black crop top and Beyonce wore a black crop top. But they don’t realize in 2015 in ‘Bad Blood,’ Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyonce copied ‘Bad Blood.’” See, what Joseph was trying to do here was show how ridiculous it was to accuse artists of copying each other, but it’s hard to read sarcasm in print. But Joseph ain’t scared of the Beyhive. He actually tweeted a link to the Times article and wrote, “Come get it Beyhive. The candy is right here.”
