At the end of Carrie Underwood’s last concert at the Moody Center in Austin, Kelsea Ballerini came out on stage to announce that she will be co-hosting the next CMT Music Awards. This will be her third year in a row, by the way. And, for the first time ever, the CMT Awards will be held in Texas….at the Moody Center in Austin! The awards ceremony is always held in Nashville, but organizers said they couldn’t find a venue. Apparently, everything was booked out two years in advance. The CMT Music Awards will be held on April 2, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

Denise Richards’ husband was driving her to a movie set on Monday and he was having trouble locating the studio. Apparently, his slow and confused driving irritated the driver of a gold and maroon van behind them. Aaron slowed down to let the other driver pass, but the guy was yelling that Aaron had cut him off. Aaron rolled down his window to apologize and as he started to drive away, the other driver fired a shot and took off. It totally freaked Aaron and Denise. She was a sobbing mess by the time they finally got to to the studio. That’s when a crew member pointed out the bullet hole on the driver’s side at the back end of their truck. Until that point, Aaron and Denise didn’t even realize they’d been hit. Thankfully, they weren’t injured.

Who is the Queen of Christmas? It’s not Mariah Carey. Oh, she WANTED to be the Queen of Christmas and even filed to trademark the title, but her request has been denied. It turns out Elizabeth Chan holds the trademark to “Queen of Christmas.” You’ve probably never heard of her, but Elizabeth claims to be the world’s only full-time pop Christmas recording artist who’s put out 12 albums of Christmas music so far. Her most recent album, “12 Months of Christmas,” includes nine songs sure to become holiday favorites with titles like “New Boss for Christmas” and “Avalanche.” By the way, Mariah also tried to trademark “Princess of Christmas,” but Elizabeth has that one, too. She gave that nickname to her 5-year-old daughter Noelle, who is feature on some of her mommy’s songs. Mariah dreamed of using the title to sell all sorts of merchandise, everything from fragrances to pet accessories. But Elizabeth fought back, telling Page Six, “I did this to protect and save Christmas. Christmas isn’t about one single person — it’s about everybody….and it is wrong for an individual to attempt to own and monopolize a nickname like Queen of Christmas for the purposes of abject materialism.”

Brad Pitt took a date to Bono’s concert in LA Sunday night. She is a jewelry dealer named Ines de Ramon, who — at age 29 — is exactly half Brad’s age. Back in September, Ines separated from her husband of three years, Paul Wesley from “The Vampire Diaries,” who was almost immediately spotted out with some model. So Ines turned around and one-upped him with Brad Pitt! And congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Lautner. Taylor married nurse Taylor Dome — who goes by “Tay” to cut down on the confusion — at a winery in Paso Robles, CA, on Friday.

Grammy nominations were released yesterday. Beyonce leads with 9 nominations, including Album of the Year for “Renaissance.” She is followed by Kendrick Lamar with 8 nominations, also including Album of the Year for “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.” Right behind Kendrick is Adele with 7 nominations, including Album of the Year for “30.” Artists receiving 6 nominations are DJ Khaled, Future, The-Dream, Mary J. Blige and Harry Styles, whose “Harry’s House” is up for Album of the Year! By the way, if Beyonce wins just 4 of her 9 categories, she will have the record for the most Grammy wins ever. The current record of 31 is held by late conductor Georg Solti.
