In movie and streaming news, Molly Shannon has joined the cast of Only Murders in the Building. The show follows three friends — Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) — who host a true-crime podcast investigating murders within their apartment building in NYC. Not spoiling anything here, but the murder at the end of Season 3 sets up the investigation for Season 4, which takes the three friends to LA. According to Deadline, Molly will play “a high-powered LA business woman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in NY.” And coming this March to a theater near you — the official Nickleback documentary Hate To Love. The feature-length film will be released in 30 countries around the world but for two nights only — March 27 and March 30. Tickets go on sale Feb. 22 starting at 10am ET at NickelbackFilm.com.

Prince Harry is in Canada to build excitement for next year’s Invictus Games in Vancouver. A reporter from Good Morning America caught up with Harry and asked how King Charles is doing. Harry said that right after his father called to tell him about his cancer diagnosis, he flew out to see him as soon as he could. If you remember, Harry was in England for a grand total of 24 hours and spent about 30 minutes with his dad. But Harry said, “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane, go and see him, and spend any time with him — I’m grateful for that.” When the reporter tried to dig deeper into the king’s health, Harry said, “That stays between me and him.” Harry also said he loved living in America so much that the thought of becoming a US citizen has crossed his mind. But if he does decide to go through with it, according to the US immigration policy, “Any applicant who has any titles of heredity or positions of nobility in any foreign state must renounce the title or the position.” The police also requires that Harry would have to “expressly renounce the title in a public ceremony and USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) must record the renunciation as part of the proceedings.”

In “Are they back together or not?” news….Cardi B said we are not to listen to any rumors. She let us know in no uncertain terms that when she and Offset get back together, she will let us know. So far, we have gotten no explanation for Cardi B and Offset spending Valentine’s Day together. The supposedly estranged couple spent Christmas and New Year’s together, too. And even though Cardi admitted that she and Offset hooked up, that still doesn’t mean they’re together. Meantime, Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan went out together for a Valentine’s date and she was flashing a huge diamond ring on THAT finger. A source said the Daily Mail that the two of them are “still officially broken up,” but, “With it being Valentine’s Day, they got wrapped up in their feelings and decided to hang out.”

Vogue has announced the co-chairs for the 2024 Met Gala. Thirteen-time attendee Jennifer Lopez, 5-timer Zendaya, 2-timer Bad Bunny and newbie Chris Hemsworth all RSVP’d yes to Anna Wintour’s invitation. The Gala is always held on the first Monday of May, so this year it falls on May 6. According to Vogue, this year the Gala will celebrate the spring exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and the dress code is about “fleeting beauty,” which is inspired by J.G. Ballard’s 1962 short story, The Garden of Time. If you — like me — are not familiar – The Garden of Time tells the story of a count and countess who live in a villa overlooking a beautiful garden that slowly dwindles away and then they get invaded by a mob.

Katy Perry shocked us — and perhaps producers! — when she announced on Jimmy Kimmel that she’s leaving American Idol at the end of this season. According to The Sun, some producers are pushing for Miley Cyrus to replace Katy, but others think she’s a bit “too risqué” for a family-friendly show. They argue that it makes more sense to bring back Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer served as a judge for Seasons 10 and 11, left for a couple years and came back to judge Seasons 13-15. A source told the Daily Mail, “JLo will be asked to come back. When people come back, things work… people like nostalgia, and people like Jen. It would be a big get to get her back.” Shania Twain’s name has also been brought up, and there’s talk of just throwing it out there and asking Taylor Swift if she’s interested!
