Celine Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, passed away… Ben almost quit “The Bachelor”…“Rocky Horror Picture Show” remake… “Friends” reunion complications… and Will Harry Styles appear on ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’?
Celine Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, has lost his long battle with throat cancer. He was 73. Celine and Rene recently celebrated their 21st anniversary. Their son Rene-Charles is 14 and their twin sons, Nelson and Eddy, are now 5. Rene has adult children from previous marriages. Celine will take some time off from her shows in Vegas to mourn her loss. Her next scheduled show is February 23.
According to “Life & Style” magazine, Bachelor Ben’s mommy kept him from quitting the show. A source from the show’s production team said, “Ben was so upset in the middle of filming that he was ready to quit a few times because of all the drama with the girls fighting.” In fact, Ben posted a photo recently of him and his mama, captioning it, “Got to spend the weekend with family and watch the final episode with this beautiful lady. She stayed strong and made it through…it can’t be easy watching your son on this journey but she did a pretty darn good job. #momnowknowsIamnotavirgin” EWWWWWWW!!!! Don’t hashtag that!
Adam Lambert has signed on for the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” remake on Fox. Adam will play Eddie, “the rock-n-roll loving, ex-delivery boy, who emerges at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s on a motorcycle and crashes the party.” Meatloaf played that roll in the original. A few months ago, Adam was actually being considered for the roll of Frank-N-Furter, but that ended up going to Laverne Cox from “Orange is the New Black.” We have to wait until the fall for this greatness.
All of our hopes and dreams for a “Friends” reunion are officially dashed. It was announced earlier this week that the entire cast would reunite for an NBC special honoring director James Burrows. But then we were told to slow our roll a little bit because it might not be logistically possible to get all six of them together in the same room. And unless something happens between now and February 21, it ain’t happening. E! News says Matthew Perry won’t be able to make it because he’ll be in London rehearsing for a play he wrote, “The End of Longing.” It’s about four friends searching for meaning in their 40s.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Kris Jenner got Harry Styles to agree to be on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” He wasn’t exactly jumping up and down to do it! A source said once Harry started dating Kendall, Kris started the campaign to get him to be as involved as possible. The source said, “Harry knows there’s no way of stopping the cameras, that’s what comes with dating a Kardashian!” So he reluctantly agreed. Kris is hoping to convince him to go on double dates with Kim and Kanye, but she’ll probably have to work on both Harry AND Kanye to get that done! But, like the source said, “What Kris wants she usually gets…it’s a question of when and not if he will be indoctrinated into this family.”
