Big Al’s Blog: Can I buy you a dress???

And by “you” I mean the Doctor. Since I’m not a girl, I really don’t understand the stress of buying a dress. But with that said, I am here to help. Our office Christmas Party is coming up in just over a week. so, she has been mentioning the fact that she doesn’t have a dress to wear to the party. Hopefully, she is oblivious to the ridicule that a bad fashion choice could bring by some of the folks around here. Geez, I can’t tell you how many shirts, pants, shoes that have been the subject of countless discussions around here. My Army Pants from several years back, to my pointy shoes, to my lumberjack shirt from just last week. I would never inform her of the pressure that is on here. Hopefully, she has no idea. But I do know that the two of us went shopping for her outfit about a week ago and after 3 hours, we left with a few sale items but nothing for her to wear to the big extravaganza. Her schedule is pretty hectic with work and she is going home for 3 days as well. So, I think I will take matters into my own hands. Now, I am the first one to say that I have NEVER, NEVER, EVER picked out a dress and given it as a gift to any woman. And last night when I “casually” mentioned that she should let me buy her a dress, she kind of just laughed and didn’t take me seriously. BUT, I GOT THIS!

Don’t forget that my two favorite colors are “short and tight.” But at the same time, I don’t want her walking up in the party looking like a straight up hoochie. I’m just trying to help. It seems like there is some movie that has a scene in it where George Clooney or someone like that has this girl that he wants to join him at some event. And something happens and yada, yada, yada, she can’t go. Then something else happens yada, yada, yada, and he shows up in a limo with a big box and he rings the door bell and VOILA, she looks in the box and there is a beautiful gown and yada, yada they go to the big fancy party and dance the night away and make out on the balcony that overlooks the ocean…oh yeah, I think that’s like EVERY chick flick EVER! So, I want to be that dude. How cool would that be? So, today, I’m headed to the mall to buy a dress. It can’t be that hard to pick out a dress. I pick out my clothes all the time. Maybe, I’ll pick her up some shoes too. Aw man, I remember a few years back I picked out some shoes for Kellie and she HATED them. Oh well, that was then…I GOT THIS!

Any suggestions on length, color, style and how short and tight is too short and tight?
