How do you get in a LOUD argument in the bar with your girlfriend after the owner of the bar just hired your girlfriend to work there? Well, it happened. I have the worst track record of anyone when it comes to hiring people. But, I tend to hire from a feeling as opposed to well, experience or qualifications. I probably won’t hire anyone else, ever. But anyway, back to my original statement, I hired this girl as she and her boyfriend were at the bar drinking. I guess that was my first mistake. But they seemed so cool. They were talking about just moving here to town and she apparently moved here to be with him and she was bored because she didn’t have a job yet. She said she had been a server before and seemed to be a friendly, people person type of lady. So, sure, I asked if she wanted to work, she said yes. Baam. I hired her. We did talk a little bit more and she further sold herself to me. We exchanged numbers and the deal was done. I left the bar and they stayed for a while.
Later that night I got a couple of text messages telling me that the couple I had been talking to got into a loud argument and the guy had spilled a drink on a waitress. Ok, maybe it was the guy that was the problem in this situation but the end result was the fact that they were loud and drunk. And we had to throw them out. I’m going to go ahead and pat myself on the back here. I’ve been drinking a pretty long time. Somehow, I have made it through this point in my life and I have NEVER been thrown out of a bar. How about that! Yea Me! Especially the bar that just hired me or my girlfriend. Like I said, I will never hire another person. I suck at it.
Have you heard the story about the 9 year old kid that ran away from home and went to the airport? Apparently, this kid was so mad at his parents that he said he was running away… To VEGAS! I’m sure the parents were like yeah, right. Well this dude was determined…he somehow made it to the airport. He then followed another couple through security, and he even got on a plane and the plane took him to Vegas. Yes, he made it to Vegas! Wow! Way to go kid.
