Colton Underwood is expecting a baby… “Virgin Island” on Hulu… “Something About Her” sandwich shop… Jennifer Lopez is asked POINT BLANK… and Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums

Listen to “Showbiz – May 23, 2024” on Spreaker.

Former Bachelor Colton Underwood and his political and philanthropic strategist husband Jordan C. Brown just celebrated their first wedding anniversary on May 13, and coming this October, they’ll be celebrating the birth of their first baby. In an interview with Men’s Health, the couple revealed they’re expecting a baby boy via surrogate.

Just when you think every reality dating show premise has been tapped, here’s one for people who’ve never been tapped…..literally. Hulu has ordered a new show called Virgin Island. And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. A bunch of virgins — or “born-again virgins” — will “date, participate in unique and romantic activities together, and make major decisions and commitments to one another.” There’s no word on a release date, but you can apply now online if you’re over 21…..and virginal.

La La Kent’s running joke has been, “There’s NOTHING about her,” but she can’t say that any more! Vanderpump Rules fans have been waiting for what feels like forever, but Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s long-anticipated sandwich shop Something About Her is finally open for business. There was a soft opening for friends and family and Bravolebrities a few days before, but yesterday was the first official day of business. More than 100 people were lined up outside the West Hollywood location yesterday, some waiting up to 3 hours, to be among the first to grab a gourmet sammich. Ariana and Katie got a Hollywood production designer who worked on several of Nancy Meyer’s rom-coms to design the interior, which doesn’t have a lot of seating, but it’s really cute. Lots of throw pillows and chandeliers with jazz playing over the speakers…….And in addition to their sammies, the ladies are serving beer, wine, hard kombucha, hard teas, fancy sodas and seltzers, and Loverboy, which is fellow Bravolebrity Kyle Cook’s line of cocktails. Like Subway, you can order your sandwich as a salad. Prices range from $14-$18, chips not included.

Jennifer Lopez may or may not be having marriage trouble, but she’s got a movie to promote. Last to round, Ben Affleck was by her side. This time, he’s “busy” filming The Accountant 2. Jennifer and Simu Liu were doing a press conference for the Netflix movie Atlas in Mexico City when one reporter decided to address the elephant in the room and asked JLo about the rumors. We can’t see who spoke up, but it sounds like Simu was the one trying to cut off the reporter’s question. Jennifer just leaned over and said to the man, “you know better than that….”

Apple Music decided to rank the 100 best albums ever made, based on the opinions of people whom Apple Music deemed to be experts, alongside a select group of artists, songwriters, producers and industry professionals. So this list is entirely subjective and highly flawed, in my opinion. On May 13, they dropped albums 100-90 and then dropped another 10 every day until they released their Top 10 yesterday, which are:

  1. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998), Lauryn Hill
  2. Thriller (1982), Michael Jackson
  3. Abbey Road (1969), The Beatles
  4. Purple Rain (1984), Prince & The Revolution
  5. Blonde (2016), Frank Ocean
  6. Songs in the Key of Life (1976), Stevie Wonder
  7. good kid, m.A.A.d city (2012), Kendrick Lamar
  8. Back to Black (2006), Amy Winehouse
  9. Nevermind (1991), Nirvana
  10. Lemonade (2016), Beyoncé
