Bruce Jenner’s Transition Is on Hold

NBC has suspended Brian Williams… Jon Stewart is leaving “The Daily Show”… Justin Bieber hasn’t been able to do community service… an update on Bobbi Kristina Brown… and Bruce Jenner’s transition is on hold

Saying his lies about being shot down over Iraq were “inexcusable,” NBC has suspended Brian Williams for six months without pay, which means he’s losing about $5 million. In a statement, NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke said, “By his actions, Brian has jeopardized the trust millions of Americans place in NBC News.” Burke says Brian does deserve a second chance, but that he also deserved a “severe and appropriate” punishment. Lester Holt will fill in for Brian during his suspension.

Jon Stewart announced yesterday that he’s leaving “The Daily Show” later this year, probably in September when his contract is up. He told his audience last night, “In my heart, I know that it is time for someone else to have that opportunity.” He added, “This show doesn’t deserve an even slightly restless host, and neither do you.” Jon said he doesn’t really have a plan, other than spending time with his family.

Justin Bieber’s attorney Shawn Holley was in court yesterday for a progress report in his egging case. He’s on 2 years probation for egging his neighbor’s house and he also had to pay $80,900 in damages. Justin has so far completed 9 of his 12 anger management classes, but he hasn’t a minute of his community service hours. Justin was sentenced to 5 days community service, but his attorney told the judge that Justin’s foot was injured during a soccer game last month in Turks and Caicos and that he hasn’t been able to pick up trash or remove graffiti. She even had a doctor’s note.

It was being reported and repeated by us yesterday that Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family was removing her from life support today — the third anniversary of her mother Whitney Houston’s death. But Bobby Brown says those reports are not true. He also said, “This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”

A source told RadarOnline.com that Bruce Jenner’s plans for sex reassignment surgery are on hold after this past weekend’s deadly car crash. Bruce is potentially facing involuntary vehicular manslaughter charges, and the source says that right now, all of his energy is focused on helping with the investigation and making sure the family of the deceased is at peace.  Meantime, TMZ is reporting that a video taken seconds after impact has surfaced, which could be a critical piece of evidence in the investigation. Bruce is believed to have rear-ended a Lexus, sending it into oncoming traffic where it was hit by a Hummer. The driver of the Lexus was killed.
