Big Al’s Blog: Getting arrested is stupid

Hello world. How are you? I went into one of those craft stores yesterday looking for a picture frame and what are these things they have out in the summer time? Are these Christmas decorations? And they weren’t PUTTING them out…They were ALREADY out. OMG, dude, its August guys. Can we at least put the summer behind us before we put out the garland?

How about a little BAR news? What is it about my bar that gets our performers arrested 30 days before their show at the MAT? It happened with Coolio for Kellie’s birthday party. Then, with Tone Loc, he was arrested a few weeks before the date that I had him booked. And now, I have Juvenile booked for a show in just a few short weeks, and what does he go and do? He gets in a fight at a Miami nightclub. I think my bar may have some sort of curse. And how come it always seems like it’s the rappers that get arrested? Ok, sure. Lindsay Lohan gets arrested too. And every once in a while, Randy Travis will be butt naked trying to buy a pack of smokes and ends up laying down napping in the street. Maybe its all part of the “street cred” thing. But, Thank you God for not giving me the type of job where getting arrested makes me more popular. Call me crazy but to all my rappers out there reading my blog: getting arrested does not make you a better rapper. It makes you stupid! There is my profound statement of the day. Getting arrested is stupid! Thank You!

Speaking of getting arrested…I seldom talk about news stories in my blog but this is crazy. So, this kid or young man gets arrested in Arkansas while riding in the car with two white kids. The guy that got arrested was handcuffed with his hands behind his back. And then he ends up shot in the head??? And they are calling it a suicide? How does a dude shoot himself in the head with a gun that the police didn’t know that he had, all while he has his hands cuffed behind his back?

Ok, on to lighter stuff, I may need to hire an assistant. I have like 6 appointments this week and I am paranoid that I’m going to forget something. In fact, I think I have forgotten some of them already. Lets see, I have a lunch today with a contractor to talk about my rent house and which repairs are needed to be done. Then I am meeting with an old friend this evening that I haven’t seen in 8 or 9 years…so if you’re looking for a part time job, shoot me an email and you could be working for me where your main responsibility would be to not let me forget stuff!
