Proving once again that Hollywood is simply out of original ideas, Jennifer Aniston is producing a remake of 9 to 5. In case you don’t remember, the 1980 original starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as office workers getting revenge on their sexist boss, played by Dabney Coleman. Jennifer’s remake is actually being called more of a “reimagining.” This is still in the early stages of development, but Diablo Cody is writing the script. She’s the brains behind Juno, Jennifer’s Body and, most recently, Lisa Frankenstein, so maybe that gives us an idea of the tone this may take. No word yet on if Jennifer is giving herself a role. And Netflix has greenly a new live-action Scooby-Doo series. All we know so far is this will be a one-hour drama based on the cartoon that debuted way back in 1969. The first live-action Scooby-Doo was the 2002 movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Matthew Lillard and Lisa Cardellini.

When a celebrity unfollows someone, it matters. And now Kourtney Kardashian has unfollowed Charli D’Amelio, leaving some fans in shock. Others, not so much. Charli dated Kourtney’s stepson Landon Barker, but they broke up earlier this year. As one person commented, “i mean personally i don’t want my stepmom following my ex… idk why we are reading so much into sh** like this is probably wasn’t even personal.” Even though they’re a couple decades in age apart, Kourtney and Charli seemed to have a real friendship….just like Kourtney’s friendship with Addison Rae, who’s young enough to be Kourtney’s daughter. Kourtney and Travis were in the audience cheering Charli on during her Dancing With the Stars run. Charli even made an appearance on The Kardashians last summer, and showed her support for Kourtney when she had fetal surgery in September. But then in February of this year, Charli and Landon broke up in February 2024. And probably after 2 months of Landon nagging his stepmom, “WHYYYYYYYYY are you still following my ex-girlfriend……?????” Kourtney finally gave up and unfollowed.

Eric Church headlined Stagecoach for the fifth time last weekend, but he got a lot of mixed reviews…mostly negative. Eric brought out a 16-person gospel choir, sat on a stool with his guitar and performed songs like Hallelujah, Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, This Little Light of Mine and Gin and Juice. Yes, Eric had the gospel choir sing Gin and Juice. He eventually brought out his band, but by then, a lot of the audience had walked out. But Eric is defending his artistic choices. In a statement to Yahoo Entertainment, he said, “I’ve always found that taking it back to where it started, back to chasing who Bob Seger loves, who Springsteen loves, who Willie Nelson loves, you chase it back to the origin. The origin of all that is still the purest form of it. And we don’t do that as much anymore. It felt good at this moment to go back, take a choir and do that. For me, it’s always been something with records, with performances, I’ve always been the one that’s like, ‘Let’s do something really, really strange and weird and take a chance.’ Sometimes it doesn’t work, but it’s okay if you’re living on that edge, because that edge, that cutting edge, is where all the new guys are going to gravitate to anyway. So if you can always challenge yourself that way, it always cuts sharper than any other edge.”

Caitlin Clark is about to make more history before she plays in her first WNBA game. Caitlin will become the first female athlete to have her team apparel sold at all 724 Dick’s Sporting Goods locations across the US. She’s the 4th athlete to have that honor, joining Lionel Messi, Travis Kelce and “Coach Prime” Deion Sanders. Meantime, Travis Kelce just became the highest-paid tight end in the NFL. The Chiefs amended his existing contract, which runs through the 2027 season. They bumped him up from $30.25M to $34.25M over the next two years. And his recently retired big brother Jason Kelce has signed on for ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, which airs right before Monday Night Football.

We’re less than a week away from the Met Gala. So is Taylor Swift going or not? The Gala is on May 6 and Taylor’s Eras tour picks up again in Paris on May 9. It would be tough to swing it, but based on what Taylor went through to make it from Tokyo to Vegas in time for the Super Bowl, it’s doable. People and TMZ both say Taylor is a no, but Page Six insists she’s a yes. They claim they’ve learned EXCLUSIVELY that Taylor will be there Monday night. They’re just not sure if Travis will be joining her.
