Naya Rivera has re-filed for divorce… John Mayer was rushed to the hospital… Kim & Taylor drama… Selena Gomez was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year… and Mystery surrounds John Travolta’s new movie
Naya Rivera has re-filed for divorce from her husband, Ryan Dorsey. She filed the first time back in November of 2016 but then dismissed the filing in October. But after an ugly incident over Thanksgiving that left Ryan with a busted lip and a bonk on the head, Naya was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. The shocking part, I guess, is that SHE is the one filing for divorce. Naya is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their 2-year-old son, Josey. She’s also asking the judge to block either side from getting child support.
John Mayer was rushed to the hospital in New Orleans where he underwent an emergency appendectomy. He’s been on tour with some members of the Grateful Dead in a group they call Dead & Company, and last night’s concert in New Orleans had to be canceled. They’ll reschedule it as soon as possible. No word yet on whether John will be well enough to perform with Dead & Company tomorrow night in Orlando or for the rest of the tour, for that matter.
Are they actually taking digs at each other or are we reading too much into this? Yesterday Kim Kardashian posted a throwback picture from Kanye’s “Famous” exhibit last year — the one with all the naked celebrities lying in bed together — and Taylor Swift’s naked body is right there in the middle. So Taylor posts a picture of herself from her British Vogue spread and captions it, “I never trust a narcissist. But they love me…” A lot of people think Taylor is clapping back at Kim, but in Taylor’s defense, she posted a lot of pictures from that magazine spread and she captioned each one with different song lyrics. All we know is, Kim’s Instagram is being flooded with rat emojis and you can’t comment on Taylor’s photos, otherwise they may be filled with snake emojis, which would be fine with Taylor who has embraced the snake!!
Selena Gomez was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year and they did a glowing article about her. HOWEVER, the reporter also wrote about this “five-foot teddy bear sprawled across the kitchen floor in Selena Gomez’s North Hollywood home. ‘I know, I know,’ says Gomez, rolling her eyes, acknowledging that the stuffed animal doesn’t quite blend with the trio of armchairs nestled in the inviting, marble-accented nook. ‘It was a gift, and at first I thought, This is so ridiculous, I can’t wait until I give it away to another person.’ But Gomez, 25, hasn’t let go of it — yet.” That set Selena off. She posted a screen grab of the article on her InstaStory and wrote over it, “Never will I let another human guess my words ever again. Or invite them in my home. That is so hurtful. The most ‘ridiculous’ part of that is no one knowing my heart when I say things.” She then made her Instagram private, but she eventually calmed down and made it public again.
Just 10 days before it’s scheduled to be released, Lionsgate cut ties with John Travolta’s upcoming John Gotti biopic and sold it back to its production company. Many people began speculating that the poo was about to hit the fan for John, who’s had some scandalous rumors spread about him over the years. But sources are saying it’s nothing like that. The producers actually requested to buy the movie back from Lionsgate and release the movie in May of next year.
