Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ Headed For Streaming Services

Russell Simmons is stepping down… Kaley Cuoco’s birthday surprise… Matt Lauer meeting his lawyer… Royal source has a date… and Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ headed for streaming services

Screenwriter Jenny Lumet wrote a guest column for the Hollywood Reporter and went into detail about how Russell Simmons sexually assaulted her back in 1991. Russell says his recollection of the night differs from Jenny’s, but he apologized to her anyway. And because he doesn’t want to be a distraction, Russell is also stepping down from his production company and all the businesses he founded. He says he needs to focus now on his own personal growth. And he’s also dismantling his yoga studio and turning it into a non-profit center of learning and healing. And don’t bother asking anyone working for him for any comments. They’ve all been told if they discuss this situation, there will be repercussions.

Kaley Cuoco got a huge birthday surprise! Her professional equestrian boyfriend Karl Cook is now her professional equestrian FIANCE. Karl popped the question and then filmed her sobbing with joy as she showed the camera her ring and cried, “We’re engaged!” Karl said, “You still haven’t said ‘Yes’ yet!” And she responded, “Yes! I say yes! I say yes!” Awww…..And by the way, Karl isn’t intimidated by Kaley’s huge “Big Bang Theory” paycheck. He comes from BIG money. Karl’s dad is Scott Cook, who founded the tax software firm Intuit in 1983, which is responsible for QuickBooks and Turbo Tax programs. Forbes magazine estimates daddy Scott is worth around $2 billion.

For whatever reason, Matt Lauer wanted us all to see him meeting his lawyer in the street in the Hamptons. The men embraced, Matt handed the attorney an envelope, got back in his Jeep Wrangler and drove away. Perhaps Matt was sending a message to his former bosses at NBC. Sources say he’s going to try to get them to pay out the remainder of his contract, which would have taken him through the end of 2018. That would be roughly $30 million.

The official announcement from the Palace has not been made, but Royal sources say Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be married on Saturday, May 26, which is our Memorial Day Weekend. And yes! We get to watch!! What they’ll do is allow a pool camera, which means all media outlets can plug in and run the wedding on broadcast and cable TV, and also digital outlets. Back in 2011, 23 million Americans tuned in for the wedding of William and Kate, but the numbers should go way up this time around because Meghan is one of us!!

As of today, Taylor Swift has made her “Reputation” album available for streaming! A lot of people were surprised she didn’t do that when her album dropped on November 10, but after weeks of waiting, we can all stream our little hearts out. Of course with that, Taylor will be breaking all sorts of new records, which may have been why she made the decision to wait. Or it could be because she’s had a not-so-pleasant history with Spotify and only recently allowed them to upload her music to their service. Maybe she just wanted to make them wait for it.
